The primary objective of this course is to create a framework for the account manager to apply in his or her daily work and a result build, maintain and grow successful customer relationships.

Key Account Development and Management tools and techniques can be applied across different business models and customer sectors. The participants will have the opportunity to apply the concepts learned to their unique business through application exercises and group work.
 

 

• Course Objectives •

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Apply the fundamental and critical elements of being an effective account manager including how to successfully manage the relevant duties and responsibilities required to build and maintain long-term business partnerships
     

  • Apply the key principles of strategic account planning in order to develop long-term relationships and maximize opportunity
     

  • Initiate cross-selling opportunities within the existing account portfolio and identify and pre-qualify potential new business wins
     

  • Determine and implement a client’s requirements and identify the key elements of standard operating procedures
     

  • Identify Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Key Success Factors (KSF) in conjunction with clients
     

  • Understand the communication and reporting requirements of a successful account manager
     

  • Identify how to maintain service excellence and manage service issues on an exception basis
     

  • Apply all of the learned skills during the Account Management and Development Workshop

Gina Tay

Gina started her career in the logistics and transportation industry with FedEx. She was involved with the business development of the express, freight and logistics services.

Prior to joining RSI, Gina was an Account Director with Exel Logistics based in Singapore and later Hong Kong. As an Account Director, Gina provided strategic and operational leadership to a global team to achieve growth in revenue and profits of a key account across all 3 regions and product lines. Over the years in the industry, Gina has won several internal and external awards in sales achievement and customer service excellence.

Gina holds a BBA from the National University of Singapore, and a Diploma in Logistics and Distribution Management from NUS-Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. She has also completed the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) Trainer Certification program.
