Cutting a
sound strategy is critical to the success of the modern
organisation. As such, this module attempts to understand
the six drivers of supply chain management. Using
appropriate case examples from the retail, computer, and
automotive industries, we attempt to highlight some of the
more advanced supply chain strategies to help companies
improve their supply chain processes and sustain their
competitive advantage.
At the end
of the module, participants should be able to appreciate the
supply chain of optimization, cost, value and measurement,
and use these performance measures to cast the best possible
market driven and customer focused supply chain strategies.
