The cost to execute a supply chain can vary from being lean to being too expensive. The cash to cash cycle metric provides a good view into supply chain throughput, or how quickly raw materials can get through supply chain operations and be converted into cash. A lower metric does not mean it is better; it is all about tradeoffs and the relevance to your business.

This module focuses on how the various components of the cash to cash metric, and on how you can better manage each cost component to meet your business needs. It will give you an insight to various methodologies to better plan and report your cost and to reduce or avoid cost, without sacrificing operational excellence.

Dr Ramlee Ibrahim

Dr Ramlee Ibrahim is a seasoned operations management practitioner of 30 years experience with a Ph.D in Industrial Engineering. He has held senior operational positions in Neptune Orient Lines Ltd, Eveready Batteries Inc., ICI Specialities PLC., FJ Benjamin Ltd., Modus Media International, Vsource Inc., and SNT Global Sdn Bhd., across various roles in logistics, plant management, materials and production planning, procurement, as well as sales administration.

Dr Ramlee's area of expertise lies is in supply chain design and optimization, where he has helped global companies like Intuit, Sun Microsystems, Eli Lily, Dell, IBM, Network Appliance Inc., and Microsoft, among others, to achieve competitive edge through business process re-engineering and supply chain excellence. He is a recognized expert in the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) Model and is a thought leader in the practice of converging SCOR with Lean Six Sigma methodologies. He currently holds professional accreditations from APICS in Industrial Resource Management (CIRM) as well as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP). He is also a Certified Master Black Belt from Motorola University and a Certified SCOR Professional from the Supply Chain Council.

Dr Ramlee is active in the global seminar and conference circuits both as a featured speaker and panelist. He is the current Vice President of the Supply Chain Council, South East Asia Chapter and has served in various capacities since its founding. As Technical Advisor to the Assosiasi Logistik Indonesia (ALI), he plays a pivotal role in working closely with the government and the industry in counselling, mentoring as well as providing thought and strategic leadership towards the development of logistics in Indonesia.
