FAQ for WDA DMP

  1. What are the admission criteria for the DMP?
    Admission into the program is based on the following criteria:

    • Academic Qualification
      At least a Second Class Honors degree ( Upper ) or equivalent in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Business Administration or any related discipline, preferably with a strong background in management science/ operation research.

    • GRE
      All applicants must support their applications with scores in the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) taken after 1 March 2004.
      Minimum acceptable scores for consideration: Verbal section - 400, Quantitative section - 720 and Analytical Writing section - 4.0.

    • TOEFL
      Applicants must have good results in Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) taken after 1 March 2007.
      Minimum scores for consideration: Paper-based Test: 550, Computer-based Test: 213 and Internet-based Test: 90. Graduates with first degrees from North American, British and Singapore Universities with English Language as the medium of instruction are exempted.

  2. What criteria are needed to qualify for WDA funding?
    • The applicants must be either a Singaporean or Singapore PR at the point of application.
    • Unemployed professionals seeking to enter the logistics industry

  3. Are students eligible for financial aid in this program?
    Yes. For those participants who meet the criteria, WDA will fund 90% of the course fees. Students will only need to pay S$4,500 ( before GST).

  4. Will I be paid during training or internships?
    Yes. Students who are eligible will receive stipend during the entire program of 17 months provided they are not employed.

  5. What is the total duration for the entire program?
    The DMP is a one and a half year program with a single intake commencing every August. Students spend the first semester at the National University of Singapore and proceed to study for the Fall and Summer terms in Atlanta, U.S.A. from January to June, before returning to complete the program at the National University of Singapore.

  6. What is the expected processing time for the application?
Time Activities
Application closing date : 31 March All applicants submit applications
Up to 4 weeks Details of short listed applicants will be forwarded to WDA and GT for selection.
Up to 4 weeks WDA evaluate applications and select candidates for offer of scholarships.
Up to 3 weeks Selected applicants are offered scholarships and admission.
June onwards Process to admit all students who have accepted offers of admission.
Late July or Early August Orientation of new intake Early August Semester 1 at NUS commences
